NEW DELHI: Ex-congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad severely criticized Congress and Rahul Gandhi. Azad said that Congress will not rule at the Center in the next few decades and criticized Rahul's lack of leadership as the reason for the current state of the party. The disclosure came in an interview given to a private channel in the wake of the release of his autobiographical book 'Azaad'.

Azad said it was inappropriate of him not to attend any of the dinners arranged by the prime minister. 'In the last seven years as the Leader of the Opposition, I have made 70 speeches against them. Modi treated me sympathetically ignoring all that, he said. He also accused Rahul of calling him a BJP agent. 'I tried to improve the party by bringing changes. Rahul and other members were not ready for it, Azad added.
