THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It was agreed in the Left Front meeting held yesterday that the second-anniversary celebration of the second Pinarayi government should also be the beginning of the campaign for Lok Sabha elections. The celebration starts on 25th of this month and ends on 20th of May. Rallies and leaflet distribution will be held in all 140 constituencies and 14 districts to convey the achievements of the government to the people. A rally will be organized in Thiruvananthapuram on May 20, the day the government assumed office. Chief Minister, ministers, and LDF leaders will attend this function.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan presented the programs in the meeting. The meeting accepted the suggestion of LJD leader Dr. Varughese George that it should not be a mere celebration but a campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.
14 LDF District Committees will meet by the 10th of this month to organize the district programs. Constituency committees will prepare the programs for the rally by the 15th and the Local and Panchayat Committees will do the same by the 25th. The future plans will also be publicized along with the achievements of the government. The rallies will be attended by LDF leaders, organizations, and cultural leaders. The leaflet delivered to homes a week before the constituency rallies will explain the government's governance achievements, future plans, and plans to build a people-welfare Kerala. The LDF State Committee also stated that they will expose that the activities of the RSS and UDF are anti-people.
The state government has set an example for the entire country with an alternative approach to globalization policies. Measures to protect the public sector and the agricultural sector have attracted the nation's attention. Health and education sectors and social security schemes have been strengthened. Kerala is a model of secular politics and life in the country. It has been stated that the UDF's policy of supporting the anti-people economic policy of the Center and its wavering stance towards Hindutva communalism will be exposed.
