THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Crime Branch has prepared a charge sheet in the PSC exam fraud case where the SFI leaders of the University College are the accused. Five SFI leaders and one policeman are in the accused list. The charge sheet will be submitted during the end of this month. The incident took place in August 2018.

Sivaranjith, Nazeem and Pranav got ranks 1, 2 and 28 respectively in the PSC constable list through malpractice. The accused were expelled from the party when the incident came to light. College employees who are close to the leaders leaked the question paper through WhatsApp. As there were four series of answer sheets, four people were assigned to send the answer by SMS. Sivaranjith, Pranav and Nazeem who wrote the exam at three centers in Thiruvananthapuram and Attingal got the same question paper in B-series.

It was found that 96 messages were sent to Sivaranjith's phone and 78 to Pranav's phone during the examination. Two other policemen who were involved in the conspiracy and who were on duty in the examination hall were not charged in the criminal case and subjected only to departmental action.
