VYPIN: The police have seized crackers illegally kept for sale in Cherai. Firecrackers three times the amount of allowed quantity were seized from Janatha Traders in Cherai. Kannathusery Anup (38) was arrested in connection with this. About 180 kg of firecrackers and related items including wire were recovered from here. The arrested person bought firecrackers from an unlicensed company. SHO AL Yesudas, who headed the inspection, said action would be taken to cancel the license of his establishment. SIs PK Sasikumar, PS Saneesh and M Aneesh were also present during the inspection.
