NEW DELHI: The low educational qualification of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a threat to the country, said former Delhi education minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia. Sisodia is presently in jail in the liquor policy corruption case. Sisodia’s letter tweeted by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has addressed the people of the country.
‘Today's youth is aspirational; they want to achieve something and are looking for opportunities. They want to win the world. They want to do wonders in science and technology. Does a low educated prime minister have the capacity to fulfill the aspirations of today's youth?
Science and technology are progressing daily. The world is talking about artificial intelligence. It breaks my heart when heard the Prime Minister saying that we can make tea or food from dirty gas by inserting a pipe in a dirty drain. Can food be cooked from the dirty gas of a drain? No.
The whole world knows that the Indian Prime Minister is low educated and has no basic knowledge of science. Other heads of state who hug Modi charge a hefty price for each hug. They don't know which paper they are signing, because the Prime Minister is not educated enough to understand,’ the letter said.
Sisodia also alleged that 60,000 schools have been closed recently. This shows that Modi government is not giving priority to education. I saw a video of Modi proudly saying that he is not educated. He said that he has studied only in one school in a village. Sisodia also asked whether being illiterate or poorly educated is something to be proud of.
