SECUNDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off the new Vande Bharat Express train connecting Secunderabad and Tirupati. This semi-high-speed express train will travel 660 kilometers in 8 hours and 30 minutes. With this, the travel time between the two cities will be reduced by almost 3 and a half hours. This is the 13th Vande Bharat Express train launched in the country.

Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Vande Bharat Express is a synonym for pride and welfare.

"This Vande Bharat Express between Secunderabad and Tirpuati will be beneficial for tourism, especially spiritual tourism. It will encourage economic growth," Modi said.

This Vande Bhart train will move at an average speed of 77.73 km. It will have stops at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Gudur stations.
