THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: V T Balram and K Jayanth have resigned the state charges of KSU following a dispute regarding the reorganization of the students wing. The resignation comes after the reorganization of the state leadership. They informed KPCC president K Sudhakaran about this.
The leaders were angered by the fact that a jumbo list was prepared for the reorganization instead of the criteria used earlier. An 80-member list was prepared instead of 25 members and the KSU leadership changed the condition of including only unmarried people. This also caused displeasure among the leaders.
KSU State Committee was reorganized today. The new committee has four vice-presidents and 30 general secretaries. The new state executive committee has 43 members. 21 conveners were given charge of major universities and colleges. New presidents were appointed in all 14 districts. Aloysius Xavier was earlier announced as the state president and Ann Sebastian and Muhammad Shammas as the vice presidents. Two current vice presidents have been re-designated as senior vice presidents.
