KALAMASSERY: A woman who fell from a train into the bushes was found unconscious by the police. Sonia (35), of Vyloppilli House near Nettoor INTUC Junction, was rescued by SI KA Najeeb, policemen R Sreejish, Shabin Ibrahim and TA Naseeb.

Sonia fell off the Bengaluru - Thiruvananthapuram Maveli Express at 2.20 am yesterday. The locopilot informed the Kalamassery railway station that a woman had fallen between Kalamasery and Edappally. SI Najeeb and his team then walked along the track from Kalamasery to Edappally but did not find the woman. On their way back, they saw Sonia lying in the bushes near the industrial estate. She was rushed to the Ernakulam Government Medical College Hospital. Sonia, daughter of Murali and Karmili, is a home nurse in Pune. The accident happened while traveling home from work. She has suffered injuries on stomach and knee.
