NEW DELHI: Congress renegade Ghulam Nabi Azad lashed out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and said that he has in-depth information regarding Gandhi scion’s visit to foreign countries but deep respect towards Gandhi family stops him from revealing the names of people Rahul had met abroad.
“Anil Antony’s exit from Congress is disappointing. The desertion of young turks from the party reflects the failure of Congress high command. Rahul Gandhi’s style of functioning has led to the downfall of Congress. Half a dozen leaders in Congress party are behind the growth of BJP. When Rahul Gandhi was disqualified as an MP, his own partymen abandoned him. Congress leaders have no desire to come back to power at the Centre”, Azad said while speaking to a private channel.
Azad’s all-out attack on Rahul can be seen as a response to the Congress leader's tweet spelling out Adani by using the letters from Congress turncoats' names.
Azad, one of the Congress party’s tallest leaders was a former Union Minister and Opposition leader in Rajya Sabha . He was the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir from 2005 to 2008. He launched ‘Democratic Azad Party’ from J&K after resigning from Congress.
