NEW DELHI: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Delhi's Sacred Heart Cathedral, Archbishop of Faridabad Mar Kuriakose said that Modi's visit gives him confidence. He also clarified that it is not possible to tell the impact of the Prime Minister's visit. The church leadership said that this is the first time that a prime minister is visiting a church and the message it conveys is very big.
Narendra Modi visited the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Delhi on the occasion of Easter. The Prime Minister arrived at the church at 5:30 pm and was received by the priests. After lighting the candle, Narendra Modi participated in the prayer. He spent about twenty minutes in the church and interacted with the priests and believers. He then returned after planting a sapling in the church yard.
The Prime Minister's visit to the Sacred Heart Church on Easter had led to widespread discussions amid BJP's efforts to bring Christian groups closer to the party.
