KOCHI: Nedumbassery airport on Sunday recevied a bomb threat through an email in the inbox of the security department of the airport. After noticing the email received at 3.30 pm on Sunday, a search was conducted at the airport.
The email ID from which the message was sent was found to be fake. So far nothing has been found to substantiate the threat in the email. The investigation of security forces are continuing.
Meanwhile, the Air Customs Intelligence Department on Sunday seized gold worth Rs 43 lakhs from a passenger at Thiruvananthapuram airport. The Customs officials received a tip-off about a person smuggling gold and intensified checking at the airport. The gold was found hidden in the rectum of Jinshad, a native of Kollam.
