Actor Prashanth's oeuvre is not that awe-inspiring. A single mention of Shankar’s Jeans ( 1998), built with panache is enough to know about where the actor was seated in the Tamil reel world in its nascent 2000s. The actor in the movie cavorted with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for songs that turned eternal over time with Rahman's finesse. However, Prashanth never reckoned a fall. The actor was touted as the next big thing in the Tamil industry only to see his career die and he becoming nonexistent in just a matter of years.
In 2005, Prashanth committed to an arranged marriage getting hitched to V. D. Grahalakshmi. The proposal came through known families and the actor gave a yes nod hoping for good times in the card. In just three years, Prashanth divorced his wife. Grahalakshmi meanwhile approached the court accusing the actor of physical torture while in marriage. It was an insult to injury. His career was dangling in question, his life torpedoed with no end to the descend times.
Now, eons later, Prashanth's father and veteran cine actor/director Thiyagarajan opened up about how horrendous was the decision to allow his son marry Grahalakshmi. He said Prashanth could have easily upended his career only if he had wedded a girl of his choice.
It is never late for the actor as it seems. Thiyagarajan has made sly hints about Prashanth getting hitched soon. The actor has not given any confirmation to it but with many reports emerging, a close eye will have its watch on the erstwhile superstar's gleamy affairs. Many controversies and trolls are going viral over the internet in this regard. But the official confirmation and details about the bride are not yet revealed. Prashanth is now in his 50s.
