UDIYANKULANGARA: Idavazhikara Jose-murder accused Ranjith's purported accident death is murder, confirmed the police. The tipper lorry driver Sarath, who was at large surrendered before the judicial first class magistrate court on Monday. The two people along with Sarath in the lorry are still absconding. The two helped Ranjith reach the hospital and then left the place. Doubts also circle whether the hospital service was a move by the two to confirm Ranjiths death.

Police have asked for custody of Sarath to ream out the details of the murder. In 2015, eight people came together to hack to death Marayamuttom Jose near a beverage outlet. Ranjith was then termed the second accused of the crime. On easter day, both Ranjith and Sarath had a dispute. Ranjith and friends days before attacked two lorries in Perumpazhuthoor and destroyed the speaker set in the two.

Marayamuttom Jose was a congress worker and was involved in mining, real estate deeds and was a notorious figure. Ranjith a CPM sympathizer planned together to kill Jose and even participated in the crime, according to police. Three of the accused in the Jose murder case died mysteriously which now connects the dots for the police.

Ranjith was visiting his sister's house when Sarath rammed his truck into the former's bullet. The murder was on spot with Ranjith's brain getting crushed in the weight.
