THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman has been arrested in the incident of stripping and attacking a youth. The arrested is Lakshmipriya of Varkala. She was arrested last night from her hideout in the capital city after an investigation conducted focusing on her phone’s tower location. The police will register her arrest and move on with further steps. Five including her new lover are on the run. Amal of Manjummel in Ernakulam was taken into custody yesterday.

The youth of Ayiroor in Varkala was subjected to brutal harassment on April 5. He was in a relationship with Lakshmipriya of Cherunniyoor in Varkala. She later parted ways with him and found a new lover. She hired a quotation gang to avoid him. Lakshmipriya along with her new lover and friend, reached the youth’s house, called him outside and took him in a car. The gang attacked him in the car and also threatened him at knife point.

When the car reached Alappuzha, the driver got out, grabbed his chain, mobile and Rs 5000 which he had in his hand. They also asked him to GPay Rs 3500. They attacked him again. They reached a house near Ernakulam bypass, gave him shock using the mobile charger. When he refused to drink the beer they offered, they beat him on his head with the bottle. They stripped him and shot the pictures of it. They asked him to withdraw from the relationship and if not threatened to circulate the visuals on social media.

The team on the next day abandoned the youth at Vytttila bus stop and left the place. The youth who was lying on the side of the road was taken to Kochi Medical College by the police. Th youth was later shifted to Venjaramoodu Gokulam Medical College after his relatives reached on getting information.
