PALAKKAD: Two youths have been arrested while attempting to smuggle 22 grams of Methamphetamine in a train. The arrested persons are Thrissur Manaloor natives Sreejith (22) and Alkesh (22). The RPF officials nabbed the accused at the Palakkad Junction railway station.

RPF officials said that the two tried to sneak the drugs during the Vishu season so they could sell them to their friends. Methamphetamine was seized in a joint inspection conducted by the Excise Department and the RPF. Both Sreejith and Alkesh had been working in Bangalore for three months. They were arrested while returning home for the Vishu holidays.
