MUMBAI: The Mumbai police have arrested a 16-year-old boy for allegedly threatening to kill Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.

According to the police, the boy made the threat call to the Mumbai Police control room on April 10. The caller, who identified himself as Rockey Bhai from Jodhpur in Rajasthan, said he was a Gau Rakshak (cow-vigilante). The caller threatened to "eliminate" Salman Khan on April 30.

Following this, the police launched an investigation and soon found that the call was made from Shahapur in Thane district. The police team then went to Thane and found that the call was made by a minor boy. The boy was soon arrested. Officials said that the boy will be handed over to the Azad Maidan police for further legal procedures.
