THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state president K Surendran said that CPM should withdraw from insulting Christian churches. The BJP leader also said that insulting religious leaders through CPM's mouthpiece People's Democracy is condemnable.
"The CPM wants to humiliate all religious leaders who do not accept the party's position. It should understand that India is not China or Cuba. Congress is keeping silent on the issue as it is supporting CPM," Surendran said.
"It is only a delusion of the CPM that religious priests can be repulsed by insulting them and making defamatory statements. The CPM is upset that Christians in Kerala are reacting against the misrule and communal appeasement of the Left. Congress is supporting People's Democracy's anti-Christian article to appease fundamentalists," he said.
