THRISSUR: Actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi said that he does not have to borrow money from Ambani or Adani to give 'Vishu Kaineetam' to the people. He was speaking ahead of the ceremony of handing out Vishu Kaineetam to the people of Nattika.
"I'm 64 years old. I'm still working hard in cinema and giving people the money that I am earning this way as Vishu Kaineetam. I'm not in a pathetic situation like those who spread unnecessary things," Suresh Gopi said.
"Those who are criticizing me are saying that this (Kaineetam) will not happen next year. Indeed, I can not hand over even a single rupee to anyone as it will be the election period during this time of the next year. Some even say that I'm getting all this money from Ambani and Adani. For the time being, I'm not in a pathetic situation where I have to take food from someone and eat like you. Even at the age of 64, I'm making money by working honorably in cinema. I recently did 4 fights in Jayaraj's cinema. I'm spending the money that I earned this way. I have provided every detail regarding this to the Income Tax and other concerned officials. Anyone can check it. I will go forward with faith in God. Those who do not have any of this will keep saying this," Suresh Gopi said.
