NILGIRIS: A video of bike riders escaping from a wild elephant in Mudumalai in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu had gone viral on social media. The incident happened on Thursday.

In the video, the elephant is seen walking towards a lorry. The elephant was on the right side of the lorry and the bike riders were on the left. Suddenly, the lorry driver opened the door and told them to get inside. Soon the elephant reached the other side, but the riders escaped as they got inside the lorry. In the video, the elephant is seen leaving after staying there for some time. The video was shot by Malayalis who were behind them in a car.

This is Mysuru-Ootty road via Gundalpete. One has to travel through Bandipur Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary for about a kilometre.
