cbi-kejriwal

NEW DELHI: The central bureau of Investigation has summoned Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to appear in the CBI office on April 16th. According to reports, Kejriwal will be questioned by the central agency for the Delhi liquor case which earlier saw former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia going behind bars. According to insider statements, CBI received statements against the Delhi CM from his close acolytes. Earlier, the personal staff and others close to Delhi CM were grilled by the agency.

According to CBI, Kejriwal has talked with others accused of the scam using the phone of the main accused Vijay Nair. The agencies also say Kejriwal was the "main conspirator" behind the scam. Manish Sisodia was forced to resign from cabinet rank after turning guilty in the scam that shocked the capital. AAP meanwhile accused the BJP of a planned conspiracy targeting only opposition parties but favoring all ill proceedings committed by the saffron party members. Ironically, AAP, a party that was born countering corruption is now mired in a sea of scams with accusations aplenty against the leaders' benefitting from the lucre received. BJP will try to press more into the case and the capital will go turbulent in the coming days if Kejriwal sees the same fate as his man Friday Manish Sisodia.
