IDUKKI: A man died by falling from a tree while plucking kanikonna flowers. Eldose Iype, a native of Rajakumari is the deceased. The tree branch broke when he climbed to pluck the flowers and he fell down. Eldose was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead.

Meanwhile, an accused was arrested for raping a 46-year-old differently-abled woman after locking up her mother in Thodupuzha. Karikkunam native Manu has been arrested by the police.
