shooting

NEW YORK: At least four people were killed in a shooting during a birthday party in USA on Sunday morning. As per reports, more than 16 people were injured in the attack. The media reports that there is a heavy police presence at the scene of the incident in Dadeville, Alabama, and that several injured teenagers have been taken to area hospitals.

Initial information is that an argument during the teenager's birthday party led to the shooting. Meanwhile, on March 27, six people, including students, were killed and many others were injured in a shooting at an elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee. Three students and three school staff were among those killed. The gunman opened fire at the Covenant School, which is adjacent to the Presbyterian Church in Burton Hill. The attack that killed three children was carried out by a 28-year-old woman, who was shot and killed by Nashville police.

Estimates indicate that there are more than 400 million firearms in use in the United States, a nation with population of approximately 330 million. With frequent shootings in schools and public places, there has been a strong demand for restrictions on gun ownership laws in the country.
