THODUPUZHA: Three people were killed after a delivery vehicle ran over pedestrians at Madakkathanam in Vazhakulam. The accident happened at Koovelippadi in Madakkathanam Monday morning at 7.45 am.

The dead have been identified as Mary (65) of Koovelippadi, Kuncharkkat Prajesh (35) and his daughter Alna (2). The accident happened when Prajesh and his daughter were going to the shop and Mary to her work place. The driver of the vehicle dozing off may have led to the accident. The Vazhakulam police took the driver into custody and subjected him for a medical examination.
