THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A Malayalee CISF jawan died after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Jharkhand. M Aravind, a jawan in CISF unit in Patratu, Jharkhand and a resident of Kudappanakunnu in Thiruvananthapuram is the deceased. An unknown vehicle hit him while he was returning after buying goods from the unit. Dharmapal from Haryana, another jawan who was with Aravind, also died.

The accident happened on Monday night while they were walking. The vehicle that hit them did not stop and the injured soldiers laid on the road for hours. They were taken to hospital by the police, but both of them had died by then. The police have started investigation to find the vehicle. The relatives were informed about the death by CISF. The body will be sent home after post-mortem.
