MUMBAI: NCP chief Sharad Pawar has dismissed rumours about a rebel move led by Ajit Pawar in the party. He said that no meeting has been called by anyone and informed that Ajit Pawar is busy with election work.
He said that the rumors about split in the party only exists in the media and no such move is actually taking place. It is rumored that Ajit Pawar will join BJP along with 15 MLMs in Maharashtra.
The speculations about the rift came up when Ajit Pawar didn’t attend the Maha Vikas Aghadi’s Vijayamrut rally organized in Pune. The rumours got strengthened as BJP state chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule and former minister Chandrakant Patil left for Delhi.
Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule's statement also became a topic of discussion amid the rumours. Supriya said that there will be two big political explosions in Delhi and Maharashtra in 15 days.
