THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has given new hope to Kerala's K-Rail project. Speaking to the media, he asked who said the project was a closed chapter. The Union Minister's remarks came during a press conference called to explain the details of the Vande Bharat Express allotted to the state.
Ashwini Vaishnaw said that he will soon hold a discussion with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on the K-Rail issue. Union Minister of State V Muraleedharan was present when the Union Minister spoke about the K-Rail project.
Meanwhile, Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the Vande Bharat train on April 25. He also said that the train, which was earlier fixed to shuttling service between Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur, has now been extended to Kasargod.
“Many propagated about Vande Bharat not coming to Kerala, what do you have to say now? ” Ashwini Vaishnav asked the detractors through his press meet.
The flag-off ceremony is scheduled for April 25th.
