LUCKNOW: Police registered a case against the youth who threatened to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Aman Raja, a native of Jharkhand, gave the death threat through Facebook. Kotwali police of Baghpat district registered a case against Aman Raja. He had posted on Facebook that he would shoot Yogi Adityanath. The screenshot of the post became viral after Yogi, Uttar Pradesh DGP, and other top officials were tagged on Twitter.
Following the murders of Samajwadi Party leader and former MP, Atiq Ahmed and his brother, the police administration of justice was questioned in Uttar Pradesh. It was during this that the Chief Minister himself received death threats. A judicial commission will probe Atiq's murder. Former Allahabad High Court judge Arvind Kumar Tripathi, retired IPS officer Subesh Kumar, and former judge Brijesh Kumar Soni are on the commission. The report should be submitted within two months.
