THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The second trial run of Vande Bharat Express on Kerala route has started. The train started its journey from Thiruvananthapuram at 5.20 am and reached Kollam at 6.10 am taking 50 minutes. The trial run will be from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod. The Union Railway Minister had informed yesterday that the route of Vande Bharat, which was limited to Kannur, has been extended to Kasargod. The trial run will return to Thiruvananthapuram.

The second trial is being conducted today to ensure the speed and safety of Vande Bharat. There will be more clarity about how many hours will it take to reach Kasaragod and when will it reach various stations compared to the first trial run after the completion of the second trial run.

The first trial run of Vande Bharat was completed the other day. Vande Bharat completed its trial run from Thiruvananthapuram to Kannur in 7.10 hours. The railway authorities hope that it will take an additional hour and a half to reach Kasargod today. It is scheduled to reach Thampanoor by midnight and complete the trial run.
