BHOPAL: A loco pilot died and five assistants were injured as a goods train rammed into another near the Singpur railway station in Madhya Pradesh at 6:30 on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Prasad, a native of Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

A goods train carrying coal from Bilaspur rammed another stationed goods train. On impact, the train's engines caught fire and the coaches overturned. The two trains collided ten kilometres before Shahdol on the route from Bilaspur to Katni. Following the incident, rail traffic in the area was disrupted.
