THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan reminded the employees of the Secretariat that they need dedication and readiness to serve people. He also told them that files are not moving fast enough. The Chief Minister was addressing the Under Secretaries in the Law, Finance and Public Administration Departments to Special Secretaries with an aim to streamline the administration.

"Speed cannot be introduced by issuing a government order. Officials are able to complete only 50 percent of the pending files," the CM said.

The Chief Minister started his speech by extolling that corruption has been kept out of the Secretariat. "There is also a culture that leaves no room for bribery. However, officials are not fast enough," he said.

"Great progress has been achieved in governance in the last seven years. The government is moving forward with sincere policies and plans. The interest of the people and the state guides the ministry. The government thinks that the prepared projects should be implemented quickly. The success of the projects should be reflected in people's lives and the face of the country. For this, the administration should be speedy. Some of the projects included in the budget are yet to be implemented. The situation where the Chief Minister and other ministers should call up meetings for the project implementation to move to the practical level should change. ," he added.
