THIRUVANANTHPAURAM: All efforts are being taken to save the life of the bear that drowned in the well after tranquilized. The bear drowned after the authorities of the forest department tranquilized the animal that fell into the well of the house of Aravind of Vellanad in the capital city. The rapid response team and the locals are trying to save the animal. They are now trying to drain the water of the well using motor. The authorities are worried on whether the life of the bear will be in danger as it has been submerged in water for a long time.

Th inmates of the house saw the bear last night. The bear strayed into the residential area from the nearby forest. The bear destroyed the chicken coop in a house near Avarind's house and bit two chickens. When it tried to catch the third one, it flew and stood near the well. It is believed that the bear fell into the well while trying to catch it. The family who came out of the house hearing the noise saw the bear in the well. They then alerted the forest department.
