KOCHI: The Kerala High Court directed the DGP to submit a report on the incident of freezing bank accounts. Six people whose accounts were frozen approached the high court. The case was considered by Justice Viju Abraham.
The court asked how will people live if their accounts are frozen and how accounts can be frozen except under CrPC 102. The accounts of traders and others who received money through UPI transactions were frozen.
The police informed through their official Facebook page in the morning that they have not asked the banks to freeze the accounts in which UPI transactions have been made, but had given instructions to freeze the accounts that regularly commits fraud. If having complaints on freezing accounts, then can inform in the number 1930.
