THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Coca-Cola company has decided to hand over the 35 acres of land and building held by them at Palakkad's Plachimada to the state government. Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverage Limited CEO Juan Pablo Rodrigues informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan through a letter that the company is ready to hand over the land and building.

The government had taken the initiative to negotiate the release of land held by the company to the Farmer Producer Organization, which is to be started under the leadership of the farmers. The company was ready to hand over the land and building at the conclusion of the negotiations led by Minister K Krishnankutty.

The company also said that it is ready to provide technical assistance for the construction of a demo farm for farmers.
