SRINAGAR: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) visited the site of the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch. The team reached Poonch after taking over the investigation and the forensic team of NIA from Delhi will also reach the spot soon.

Five soldiers died in the attack, whose names have been released by the authorities. Havildar Mandeep Singh, Lance naik Debashish Baswal, Kulwant Singh and sepoys Harkrishan Singh and Sewak Singh were martyred. The terrorist attack took place when the G-20 Tourism Working Group meeting was to be held in Srinagar next month. This is the biggest terrorist attack in Kashmir this year.

The attack took place at around 3 pm yesterday during heavy rain and low visibility. A vehicle carrying oil from Bhimber Gali in Poonch to an army unit in Tota Gali was first fired at by the concealed terrorists, who later burst a grenade which set the vehicle on fire. The dead bodies of the soldiers were scattered near the truck as charred remains.
