JAIPUR: Former railway employee met a tragic end after the cow that was flung by the Vande Bharat train fell on his body. The incident happened last day in Alwar, Rajasthan. According to the police, Shivdayal Sharma, who was an electrician in the railway, died on the spot.
Shivdayal Sharma was urinating near the track at the railway gate. The Vandebharat Express, which was passing through at this time, hit the cow on the track and threw it. The flung cow fell on Shivdayal Sharma. He was already dead by the time the bystanders rushed to see what happened.
Incidents of Vandebharat trains running at speeds of 130 to 160 kmph hitting stray cattle on the tracks have been reported in the past as well. The train has also been damaged due to this. The Union Railway Minister recently stated that cattle are entering the track due to a lack of fence or protective wall and there is currently no mechanism to save them.
