NEW DELHI: Rahul Gandhi who was disqualified as Lok Sabha MP, will vacate his official residence today. He shifted his belongings from the residence at 12 Tuglaq lane on Friday. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has directed him to vacate the residence by today following his disqualification.

The items shifed from the residence have been moved to Sonia Gandhi's 10, Janpath. Rahul Gandhi will move in here. Leaders including Priyanka Gandhi will visit Rahul Gandhi today as he vacates his residence.

The Lok Sabha secretariat had directed him to vacate the official bungalow after Surat Magistrate found him guilty and sentenced two years of imprisonment on March 23. Rahul Gandhi received 12, Tuglaq lane as official residence in 2004 when he was elected to Parliament from Amethi. He has been living here since then.
