KANNUR: A resort owner was shot dead in Kanjirakolli, Kannur. Benny of Parathanal, Elapara, the owner of Aruvi Resorts was killed.

The incident happened last night. It is reported that Benny had gone with his friends to shoot a pig that was coming on the farm. According to friends, the cause of death was an accidental gunshot while hunting. Payyavur police have reached the spot and are conducting an investigation. The body was shifted to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the nuisance of wild boars is getting worse in Kannur. Many attacks have been reported in the area. Auto drivers who run services at night mostly became victims of pig attacks. Dumping waste on roadside and forest cover increase the presence of pigs.
