NEW DELHI: Former Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik reached Delhi RK Puram Police Station. According to reports, Malik reached the police station after the police refused permission to hold a khap panchayat organized by farmers in a park near his house. The police had informed that no meeting should be held in the residential area without permission. It was only after that that Malik and the leaders of farmers' groups and gram sabhas who had come to the meeting went to the police station. Some farmer leaders said that Malik was arrested by the police but the police informed that he was not arrested and he came on his own accord.

Malik said to the media persons that 'the police say that they will not arrest us now'. He reportedly returned home. The developments are taking place after Satya Pal Malik was summoned by the CBI in the Reliance General Insurance scam case. The former governor, who is a witness in the case, is summoned by the CBI for questioning on April 28th.

False information is being spread on social media handles regarding detention of Sh. Satyapal Malik, Ex. Gov.

Whereas, he himself has arrived at P.S. R K Puram alongwith his supporters. He has been informed that he is at liberty to leave at his own will.#DelhiPoliceUpdates
