THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state authorities are taking no chance with the security of the prime minister such that the KSRTC complex will remain shut on Tuesday. The prime minister will be in the capital on the 25th to inaugurate the Vande Bharat train. The city police commissioner held talks with the KSRTC management and decided to put shutters on the usually crowded complex on Tuesday.
The daily service from the Thampanoor depot will be transferred to Vikas Bhavan. The parked vehicles in the complex will be vacated the previous day itself. Meanwhile, in Kochi, the city police commissioner allotted an additional 2000 police personnel to bolster the security for the prime minister. The traffic in Kochi will be regulated for the Prime Minister's roadshow.
Shockingly, the Union home ministry criticized the state for its languid approach in providing assured security for PM. Earlier, the state intelligence report about loopholes in security arrangements for PMs event got leaked receiving brickbats from critics. PM Modi will touch Kerala for the first time after the central government banned PFI and other extremist organizations which worked mostly from the state.
