THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Within hours after the booking window opened, all tickets for Vande Bharat went sold. The response is deemed as a perfect start to the elite train service in Kerala. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially inaugurate the Vande Bharat on Tuesday. The regular services start only from 28th April but the executive chair car is choc full for the next five days with no tickets left. Vande Bharat consists of 1000 seats in total, of which 914 seats are in the executive class.
For traveling from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod, the chair car price is Rs 1590. On executive, the price jumps to Rs 2880. The total cost also covers the food and drinks provided. While on the journey towards Kasargod, breakfast, lunch, and other snacks are included in the culinary.
The return journey during the night includes evening snacks and dinner. The train takes eight hours and five minutes to reach Kasargod from Thiruvananthapuram. The first service from Thiruvananthapuram begins at morning 5:20. The destination Kasargod will be touched exactly at 1:25 pm noon.
