THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Mohammed Khan has been left out of the list of people to receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he arrives in Kochi. The name of the governor was in the list provided by the state government. The official explanation is that the governor's name was excluded as the Prime Minister's visit to Kochi is not for an official program.

The governor arrived in Kochi on Sunday evening to receive the Prime Minister. After some time, the Prime Minister's office stated that the governor has been excluded from the list of people to receive the Prime Minister. Meanwhile, the governor will be there to receive the Prime Minister in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. On behalf of the state government, Minister P Rajeev will receive the Prime Minister.
