KOCHI: Actors demanding high fees will stay at home, said producer and film chamber president G Suresh Kumar. Malayalam cinema is not in a position to give actors high fees they demand, said Suresh Kumar while speaking during the pooja ceremony of Nadirsha's new film.

‘The actors charge unreasonable amount of fees. The Malayalam film industry is not in a state to give that much. The producers will now choose not to work with them and will cast other actors. The industry will take a decision to avoid those demanding high fees. The decision will be taken tomorrow or day after. People with more than this budget will be excluded. This is a warning. A reasonable amount can be demanded. There is no collection in the theatres. There will be a show only if there are fifteen people and are waiting for that. There are no shows in many places. Everyone should understand this.

The producer does not bring money by shaking a tree or by printing notes. They should understand that too. Otherwise, there is no difficulty in finding a remedy for it. Can take films with anyone. Content is important. A film will turn a hit if the content is good. One who demands high fees will stay at home, it is a warning,' said Suresh Kumar.
