KOCHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a two-day visit to Kerala, received a warm welcome in Kochi on Monday. The Prime Minister, who arrived at the Navy Airport on a special flight, was seen dressed in traditional Kerala attire. Modi, dressed in a white kurta and a white dhoti, was welcomed by thousands with flower showers. Following this, Modi attended the roadshow on foot. The roadshow took place from Venduruthy Bridge to Thevara College. The Prime Minister greeted the people on foot. Thousands of people came to participate in the roadshow.

The roadshow was markedly different from the PM's other roadshows, where he usually rides in an open-top vehicle. Modi's roadshow in Kerala is being seen as a show of strength in the southern state where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is aiming to make inroads ahead of next year's general elections. After the roadshow, the Prime Minister arrived at the venue of the Yuvam event.
