KOLLAM: The police have arrested a youth who stole the gold chain of a man after giving him a lift on his bike. The arrested person has been identified as Vipin aka Ben Morris (28), a native of Mundakkal in Kollam.

The incident took place at around 10 pm on April 16. According to the police, Vipin gave a lift to the middle-aged man who came to the bar near the Kollam beach. Vipin then took the man to the railway gate near SMP and stole his gold chain. The East police later nabbed the accused after conducting an investigation into the complaint of the middle-aged man. The court has remanded the accused.
