NEW DELHI: The third flight carrying Indians rescued from Sudan as part of Operation Kaveri reached Delhi. Air Force's Globe Master aircraft carrying 392 passengers landed at Delhi airport. The Malayalis in the group will be shifted to Kerala House. Several Indians stranded in Sudan have been brought safely to Delhi and Mumbai airports in recent days.

Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan, who is leading the mission, received the team that arrived in Jeddah from the conflict zone before they left for India. A team of 367 Indians, including 19 Malayalis, was on the first rescue mission of Operation Kaveri. They landed at Delhi airport on 26th.

A second group of 246 people from Jeddah reached Mumbai yesterday in an Indian Air Force C-17 Globemaster Heavylift aircraft. Central Government and Indian Embassy have prepared all the facilities for Indians coming to Jeddah. KV Thomas, the special representative of Kerala in Delhi, informed that the state government will bear the flight and accommodation expenses of the Malayalees.
