ALAPPUZHA: Retired DySP K Harikrishnan, who conducted the investigation in the Solar case, was found dead after being hit by a train. The body was found at the railway cross in Ramapuram in Kayamkulam by around midnight last night. The body was identified today morning.

Police have found Harikrishnan's car near the railway track. They also found a note inside the car. An allegation was raised against Harikrishnan in connection with the investigation of the solar case. The Vigilance had registered a case against Harikrishnan on the complaint that he had illegally accumulated wealth in connection with the solar case.

The Vigilance had earlier conducted raids at Harikrishnan's houses and flats. It was alleged that Harikrishnan arrested the accused in the solar case in a hurry in order to save the big shots involved in the case.
