ISLAMABAD: It is reported that parents are locking the graves of their daughters to prevent them from getting raped. This shocking information is coming out of Pakistan. Reports indicate that cases of necrophilia (sex with or attraction to corpses) are on the rise in the country. Although such cases have been reported in Pakistan before, some activists and writers raised the issue again yesterday. It has been alleged that Pakistan's extreme ideologies are the reason behind such acts.

Pakistan has created such a horny, sexually frustrated society that people are now putting padlocks on the graves of their daughters to prevent them from getting raped.

The first case of necrophilia was reported in the country in 2011. Muhammad Rizwan, a cemetery guard, confessed to raping the dead bodies of 48 women. Muhammad was caught when he was running away after raping the dead body. In May last year, there were reports that the body of a teenage girl was raped by unknown persons in Gujrat, Pakistan.

In 2013, a 15-year-old girl's body was found outside the grave at a graveyard in Gujaranwala. Shahbaz Sharif, the then chief minister of Pakistan Punjab, had ordered an inquiry into the incident, but the matter is now under consideration of judiciary. Similar incidents were reported in 2019 in Landhi town of Karachi, in Okara province of Punjab, Pakistan, in 2020, and in Maulavi Ashraf Chandio village of Ghulamullah town in 2021.
