JAIPUR: Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is far ahead in captaincy in IPL, although he is not leading in terms of playing skills. Rajasthan Royals are currently atop the IPL table, winning five out of eight matches, and captain Sanju had a big part to play in this. Rajasthan coach Kumar Sangakkara himself praised Sanju the other day. Sangakkara said that Sanju is playing for the team.

Sanju has scored just 198 runs in eight matches and has managed just one half-century so far this season. In the last game against Chennai Super Kings, Sanju scored only 17 runs off 17 balls. Even though the team score crossed 200, the skipper failed to shine, but Sanju's victory over the captaincy of the more experienced Dhoni left the fans enthralled.
