THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Central Meteorological Department has advised not to go fishing on Kerala, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep coasts. Strong winds with gustiness of 40 to 45 kmph at occasional gusts to 55 kmph are likely over Southeast Arabian Sea, Kerala Karnataka coast, Lakshadweep, and Maldives. According to the advisory, strong winds and bad weather conditions are expected today and tomorrow in the areas of southwest Bay of Bengal and south Tamil Nadu along the Sri Lankan coast with a speed of 40 to 45 km per hour and at times up to 55 km per hour. The District Collector informed that in this situation it is not appropriate to go fishing in these places on these dates.


The Central Meteorological Department has warned that in the next three hours there is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod and strong winds with a speed of up to 40 kmph.
