NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio show ‘Mann ki Baat’ reached a colossal 100 episodes. The 100th episode was broadcasted at 11 am today morning. Mann ki Baat started its debut run in 2014 October, months after Narendra Modi took reign as the prime minister of India. PM Modi said every episode of Mann ki Baat remains close to his heart and adulated the show for promoting Indian goodness and festive spirits.

‘ I received thousands of letters and emails on the occasion of the show's 100th episode. This is the victory of the millions in India who made it religious to listen to the show without a miss.” PM Modi remarked.

Mann ki baat was the catalyst for many reforms in the country. The 'Beti Bachao' campaign happened in Haryana through Mann ki Baat and now the gender gap in the state is reduced to zilch. Other campaigns like 'Swatch Bharath Abhiyan'and 'Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' earned popularity through this show.

The ‘ Selfie with Daughter' campaign inspired me a lot. I talked about the move through Mann ki Baat which later spiraled to international recognition and craze. Such was the impact of the radio show” Modi emphasized.

The 30-minute episode had a fine balance of looking back and looking forward, with the Prime Minister interviewing some change-makers, whom he mentioned in the earlier episodes, from across the country.

PM Modi later praised India for taking the presidential ship of the G20 summit and connected Mann ki Baat as the mainspring to help the world learn about the cultural and vivid heritage of this beautiful county. Meanwhile, congress came down heavy on the 100th episode gala and accused the PM of being mum on China and Adani issues while simply heralding the radio show as a monumental achievement.
